So ...

So WAC is really horrible without people here. It also is very freaky too because I walked outside last night and looked at the dorms and all these rooms were dark and it looked strange and freaky, almost out of a horror movie. It also is strange seeing the parking lots so empty as well, it definitely shows that the vital signs of WAC are dying for the year. It definitely is sad too because a week ago at this time, though it was finals week, so many people were still here and the campus was still hopping. Now you look at it, and the squirrels are taking over where people once were.Thankfully though I get to leave on Wednesday after my education meetings. In a way I'll be glad to leave because just staying here with no one here is definitely very odd. But in another way I will be sad because it means that I won't be back here at WAC again for another 3 months. And the sad thing is, when I do come back, it will be for the last time. I'll be a Senior next year and thus it will be my last year at WAC. Sometimes it seems like I just was starting to fully adjust to life here and how things worked. But thus is the life of a transfer student who came in Spring semester of his Sophmore year. It definitely will be many memories of all the things that have gone on, and I'm definitely looking forward to it all! Anyway to all of you already on summer break and the others of you about to begin, have a great summer. I'll be updating this throughout the summer to keep you all "in the know" of what I'm doing. Everyone take care and be safe out there beyond the walls of WAC or whatever college you go to.

W...

Well I'm done officially with the Middle School for the semester now. I still have to go back on Monday and Tuesday to do some meetings and such, but I really don't get to see the kids. I thought at first I wouldn't miss it, but the kids definitely are some good kids. As much as I complained about some of them, there were a few that definitely were great and I will miss having in class and being able to joke around with them. I have pictures that I took today while there, so if you want to see any of them, let me know. Plus I definitely want to thank Rick Tubman for letting me go into his room and teach. I know at times I was very confused and not sure what to do, but he threw me into the fire and I think he was very happy with how I did. He always said great things about me and was a great guy to be under. I definitely will miss being with him because next fall I'll be with Ken Stein. Don't get me wrong, Stein is a nice guy, but Tubman and I just clicked and fed off of each other. Plus another person I will miss is Matt Windsor, who is the Math teacher in the 6th grade. He is going to leave for the year to try another career. But myself, Rick, and Matt were three peas in a pod and we had great times together. Lunch was the time that all three of us bonded and by the end of the semester, the three of us knew how we ticked and could read each others mind. So it will be sad to see that end.On the other hand though, this brings me to a new challenge which is working with a new group of people next fall. So I think personally this is good for me. It will help me get used to how things work in a school, which is good. I definitely feel that this has been a great experience for me and I like it alot. I got to teacher the kids, write the lesson plans, and so forth and I loved every minute of it. Lol to those of you at WAC, you heard me always talk about the kids and things going on, so I'm sorry for that. Also I am sorry because next fall I will be an even bigger ghost than I was this semester. But hey, its a lot of fun!! Anyway good luck to everyone over the summer, and enjoy yourselves!!!!

It feels ...

It feels so good to be done all my finals. I finished my last final today, all of them where take home finals, so that is why. I have to stick around WAC until the 18 for education stuff, so that's cool and all. So now I just get to relax and hang out, this is what college life is supposed to be about!! Relaxation!!!! Though I still have to go to the middle school and all, it's still awsome to just do nothing! I do have to write up a lesson plan on the Greeks, so any ideas on how to teach the middle school kids, would be welcomed ;-) Anyway now its time to relax!

http://mmtlc.badlydigital.com/art/Excalibur-movie-highres.htmlI highly recommend watching this site. It's a video some friends here at WAC made. It definitely is worth you're while if you watch it. It's a remake of Excalibur and done through Middle Hall, one of the dorms here on the WAC campus. So enjoy everybody.

It...

It's that time of year again...almost finals week and then we're moving out of here. It's crazy that the year is almost over. At times the year seemed to fly by and other times it just seemed to move so slowly. But a part of me will be sad to see this year end. It means that many of my friends will be graduating or leaving WAC and going to somewhere else. This is the first year where I know a lot of the graduating seniors. It definitely will be weird not seeing a lot of them next year because they've always been here. Even though I transfered in last spring, it still feels like I've known many of them for a long time. I am very grateful to know them all and hope that they find happiness and success outside of college. Good luck and don't forget about us here at WAC and remember to write and visit! To those of you leaving WAC, good luck going off to wherever you are going. I hope you find success there and the college you are going to will have everything you want. Again, don't forget about us here at WAC and all the friends you made here and all the great times we had. Always remember to write.

So ok,...

So ok, I definitely am going to scream with the education system. I got the calender for my education stuff and along with my fellow Ed blockers we all looked nauseous. I must admit it was very hilarious to see and witness, but also sad because I was right along there with them. I was hoping to be able to take Christina off somewhere next fall just for a weekend trip, but that definitely looks like it won't be happening. Though I will try and see if I can get a day off here or there and try to get it so we can do something. Also...if any of you ever are looking to eat some good bean dip, you should talk to Dr. O'Connor's wife. My god! This stuff was absolutely amazing!! Like we all were like praising her for it, you have no idea. Plus the view from Dr. O'Connors house is beautiful. If you stand in his kitchen and look out the back window, you can see the river and he has his own pier. It is absolutely the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, plus it was sunset and that over the river was very pretty.Ok well I should get ready for classes and all.

So I'm tota...

So I'm totally thinking my Historical Methods class is a waste of my time. I learned nothing about my thesis this semester, and we did nothing to prepare us to use our history majors outside of college. Yes, I'm going to be going into teaching, but still there should have been ideas given to us about possible historical jobs. Prof. O'Brien completely ruined the class and we all view it as a joke, which I think is sad. Everyone who is in Ed. Block with me next semester in the class all make fun of the class in our education classes and we just think it's the dumbest thing in the world. I mean how sad is this, we had so many library assignments this semester, which were nothing more than busy work. Also we watched some really odd movies and such. I mean we've learned in education classes that busy work is not something you should give your students because they get nothing out of it, and it's totally true. It just gets them to hate the class and view it as a joke. Then when the final comes around she puts all this stuff on it we never covered, so we all are like what in the world's going on here?! She is just a horrible Professor and I'm glad she is leaving after this semester. I mean her class was the easiest I've had ever and I know I definitely will get an A in it. But it's just a waste of my time and all.

Well W...

Well Writer's Theater has come and gone, and I kept my sanity! I'd like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who was involved with it. You guys totally made my life so easy and I had a great time. Thank you guys so much for just accepting me into the show and letting me boss you guys around (I hope not too much) and all. I definitely enjoyed myself so much. I hope that I'm not too busy next fall with my Ed. stuff to be around again. So thanks for a great time this semester. As you all can see, the show was a blast this weekend. I definitely enjoyed it, and if you weren't a part of the show and came to see it, I thank you as well. It definitely was great to have such interactive audiences who were into the whole routine for us. Well with the coming of this week means more education stuff, which is always SO FUN!!! *insert sarcasm* Seriously, the ed. block is cancer, and it's totally eating my life. Though I guess I can't complain, I have 15 other people with me and we all have no life outside of Dr. O'Connor's "Little Shop of Horror's" ... um Education Room. But I must admit it is fun, when we're all together goofing off, which is like...all the time.
